So, you want to know more and take the next step... Excellent!
But before you do, it's worth asking yourself a few questions.
Every candidate must be a free man, and in reputable circumstances
You have to be at least 18 years old to join freemasonry (if 18yrs you must have finally ceased full time secondary education or training). Undergraduates and other university members can enjoy Freemasonry through the Universities Scheme.
You must believe in a supreme being to be a Freemason. We won’t ask about religion, that is personal to you.
To join you must be of good character with no criminal convictions. If you are not sure what counts and what doesn't, just ask.
Loxfield Lodge currently holds eight meetings per year, of which you might expect to attend at least six, together with a few formal rehearsal, learning and social meetings a month.
Whilst not disproportionately expensive, there is a cost to Freemasonry (Joining fee. regular lodge subscription, dining fee, regalia) and it is important that you factor that into your consideration. Loxfield Lodge subscription is currently £165 per year (there is also be a small cost to dining after a meeting).
